The lyrics, naturally, have to do with struggles and conflicts found in playing the Yu-Gi-Oh game (or watching the program), and as such have limited appeal to anyone not immersed in that culture. Musically, it's a spirited but anonymous blend of hard rock-metal, somber orchestral passages, and scraps of rap and power ballad with snatches of dialog. In that sense, it's a presold niche product for kids who are really into one or another facet of Yu-Gi-Oh, though immediately that's a much bigger niche than most. This is the soundtrack to Yu-Gi-Oh, with the concept being that it is something that can be used to play the Yu-Gi-Oh game, but perhaps also something that complements the animated series for regular watchers of that program. Yu-Gi-Oh, based on a Japanese comic strip about a boy who fights virtual monsters, had by the early '00s spun off a card game, software, and a popular children's animated television show.
